ORLANDO, Fla. (August 8, 2008) — The clubhouse facilities and a model home at Providence Golf and Country Club south of Orlando won two of the most prestigious awards from the Southeast Builders Conference recently.
David Kohn, founder of ABD Development Company, which is developing Providence Golf and Country Club off U.S. 17-92 in the Davenport area, said the Orlando-based Evans Group won a Grand Aurora Award for Recreational Facility at a Country Club for its design of the Providence clubhouse facility.
The Evans Group also won an Aurora Award for its design of the 2,246-square-foot Azalea model home at Lakeside Villas at Providence, Kohn said.
The 8,000-square-foot community clubhouse and recreational area, centrally located at Providence features a state-of-the-art fitness center, two lighted tennis courts, a play area and several swimming pools.
The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath Azalea model home was decorated by Beasley and Henley.
“The Grand Aurora Award ranks as the most prestigious designer and builder award in the home building industry,” Kohn said. “We are proud of this honor by the professional building industry and we feel the clubhouse and amenities at Providence Golf and Country Club deserves it. The Evans Group designed a spectacular facility,” he said.
Three and four-bedroom town homes at Lakeside Villas in the 2,220-acre gated master-planned golf and country club community range in size from 2,200 square feet of living space to more than 3,000 square feet. Prices range from $290,000 to $360,000, Kohn said.
Providence is located off U.S. Highway 17-92 and County Road 54 in the Loughman-Davenport area of Polk County. For more information about the community, call (863) 420-2100.
